Paint the wall black, just do it!

When we found out that we were officially retiring and moving back to the lower 48, I immediately started a board on Pinterest for ALL of the things I wanted to do in the new house. It had been seven plus years since we had owned our own home, meaning seven plus years since I had been able to customize things to the way we love them. I ran across a super moody library and instantly knew that was what I wanted in the new house. It had black walls, a black ceiling, and pine accents. It was stunning. The one thing you need to know about the house we currently live in though, is that it is not our forever house. We are looking for land to build our dream home. So, when it came to the library space, or any space really in this house, I have to keep reminding myself to pump the breaks and do things that are wise for resale. So, I did not go crazy and paint all walls and the ceiling this go round. Really, the only thing I have left to do in this room is find a beautiful light fixture and a chair that I can sit in for hours reading. UM, JK, I never get to sit for hours and read.... but the kids can LOL. Anyway, chair and fixture to come, but for now, I am totally in love with this black wall and pine shelving.
