Take a Hike!

If this move has taught me anything it is that life is too short to stay inside! The unwavering beautiful of Alaska is something no one can put into words for you. Being a fitness coach, especially to children, means stepping outside the box sometimes! Hiking is the perfect way to do that. For the most part, younger kids hate to walk when we want them too HAHA... BUT, if there is a reward at the end like a breathtaking waterfall, trees to climb, or rocks to skip then they are all in! Our family and the neighbors took a trip last weekend to Thunderbird Falls and I am so thankful we did. We hiked, talked, the kids played in the water (I was very jealous that I didn't bring something to wear in myself), and then we had a picnic back down at the bottom of the trailhead on a cliff overlooking the creek bed. I pray these are memories that last a lifetime for our family! "P.E." doesn't have to be burpees, push ups, and constant running... sometimes it can be a nice hike in the woods! Take the time to get out of your comfort zone and see what's around you!
